Vania Joloboff is Research Director at INRIA (France) working in the FORMES research collaborative project between INRIA and Chinese Universities, focused on the development of reliable, trustworthy embedded systems.
Prior to joining INRIA in 2007, Dr. Joloboff was Chief Technical Officer at Silicomp Group, with mission to oversee the company R&D program and develop new business based on emerging technology.
Formerly, Vania Joloboff has been Technical Director at the OSF and its Research Institute heading development of the Embedded Java technology since 1995 and the OSF Motif technology before that. OSF/Motif became the worldwide standard IEEE 1295 and was included in the CDE desktop solution from HP, IBM and Sun Microsystems. Prior to joining OSF, he founded in 1986 and directed the Bull Research Center at Sophia-Antipolis, a research lab created and distributed world wide the GWM software.
Dr Joloboff has been Assistant Professor at University of Grenoble and University of Nice. He graduated from Ecole des Mines (France) and received a doctorate degree from University of Grenoble (France).
Dr Joloboff contributed to several international standards, including IEEE 1295, IEEE P1201, and ISO 20970. He was a member of the X Consortium Technical Board. He was elected Chairman of the J-Consortium in year 2003. Dr Joloboff is co-holder of two European patents.
